What is beauty according to science

People may not realize, but beauty standards change according to time and human thoughts. In ancient Egypt having heavy black eye look was considered to be trendy whereas Greece considered having uni brow as style statement. Some countries prefer pale skin whereas some of the go for skin tan. It is true that every person is beautiful irrespective of the facial features or skin color they posses. The beauty standards change even according to culture but science has its own defined beauty standards that never changes. These beauty standards remain constant irrespective of any change in time or evolution.

According to science, beauty standards can be applied to any women irrespective of what their body shape, size or color is. Science has treated symmetry as the most important aspect of beauty. Science says more symmetric you are, the more beauty you posses. The Greek philosophy  defines the theory of "Phi" ratio to get ideal facial ratio with symmetry. This ratio is also known as Greek golden ratio and is thought to be a secret of perfection.

Using this theory, now you with the help of computer mapping software can judge whether what is your beauty ratio. This ratio considers 12 features including lips, eyes, nose, eye brows, chin, fore head and facial shape.

Every person is beautiful in a unique way. Isn't it?

Choosing Between Professional Photography and DIY

Photography is not only a hobby but a smarter way to market your business online. When there is a need to hire a professional photographer or DIY event photography both of them needs proper measures to be taken care of. Let us look at the points that should be kept in mind when choosing between professional photographers and doing it yourself.

Points to be considered while choosing between professional photographers or DIY
  • Cost- Budget is one of the most important aspects to be decided prior to hiring a professional photographer. It is true that hiring a professional photographer is expensive compared to DIY but one must also realize that will the novice photography be able to bear the load of whole marketing of the product. The cost involves an initial development of the project idea, the scheduling of the shoot, post production and delivery of print. The post production includes Photoshop, color correction, basic adjustments, editing, cropping, archiving, compressing, and uploading to servers and delivery.
  • Availability- Most people who are into professional photography have full schedules, On other hand DIY has enough flexibility in terms working hours and creating a plot for perfect pictures. For professionals, there is a need to schedule meetings and other things professionally but DIY is pretty flexible.
  • Experience- It is true that professional photography is work of an experienced person who understands the angles and measure to create a perfect shot whereas the newbie is not experienced and will try his level best to ensure picture quality. While hiring a professional photographer one must check his experience, ask for some reference and check his portfolio to ensure the quality of work he/she will be giving. One should also check for online reviews available.
  • Professionalism- The most prominent thing with a professional photographer is that they are masters at their work compared to amateur event photographer. The professional attitude is another important aspect of a person that makes him/her respectable in society. A professional is never late for his work, follows discipline, never forgets deadlines and cannot afford to take bad pictures. A professional is responsible enough that if any emergency occurs he/she will be always prepared for it.

Photography includes editing, proper lightning, and special effects which may seem tricky. The distinct shot with appropriate effects with a unique and fresh approach are the parts of a perfect picture. Hiring a professional photographer can give you excellent results as professionals are the master of their work. At the end what matters is the quality of work delivered.

Light Real flame with Smart phone - The Smart Candle

In this bleeding edge era, smart lighting is a thought to ponder over. LED bulbs are a little too modern, isn't it? Now you can have the classic and aesthetic glow of smart candles with the click of your smart phone. The company LuDela has broken the stereotype saying these are real candles, not the cheap looking LED stuff. You can really light flame using app.
This is believed to be made of beeswax and supports 30-hour lighting. The range starts from $100, with $20 additional charge for an extra shell (optional).

Ludela launched the smart candle which is a matter of talks among people.

This innovative candle consists of 3 layers i.e. the outermost layer, purely artistic; the second layer is made of silicon device; the third layer is the candle (wax). The differentiation between the layers can be observed if watched carefully.LuDela lights the flame by channeling the heat between four electric nodes present around the wick. It has a fan near the wick which extinguishes the light. Other than this, many sensors are inbuilt which will help in preventing any hazard.

LuDela lights aim to avoid dangers of normal candles. The price may seem to be more then it should cost but for the people who hate hunting for matches and lighter, this technology may prove helpful. Personally, I liked the idea of lighting the candle with my phone. It can prove to be exciting for home automation.

Revealing Blockchain

Thinking of secure financial transactions but tired of processes like sin up, log in and remembering the password? Think of the time when manual transactions were done, replaced by online banking - a frog leap, isn't it? So, now the market is growing with Blockchain technology replacing financial institutions. Before discussion of  Blockchain ,Let us first try to understand Bitcoin which will help us in understanding Blockchain technology.

Bitcoin
Bitcoin is nothing but a virtual currency which is very easy, inexpensive and secure to deal in.It is an electronic currency which has no centralized controlling authority. The value of bitcoin fluctuates , it can be traded one to one or the way you like. Bitcoin, an innovative payment method, and open source software released in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto.

Blockchain
Blockchain is a distributed database technology which secretively keeps the record of each and every transaction done between buyer and seller. It doesn't require any intermediate source to process your payment. To understand this , let us consider the example suppose you want to buy a mobile phone from some shopping site . You allegedly need some intermediate to ensure your payment process which is a third party. This third party may or may not be reliable. So this problem is solved by blockchain, which ensures no third party interference.
Blockchain is a public ledger which is fault tolerant and highly secure. As the transactions are saved distributedly in millions of systems, it is almost impossible for hackers to hack the transactions.

Future of Blockchain

  • Blockchain can be widely used in financial institutions as secure currency is what we all want.
  • Small business can use blockchain for creating trusted trading platforms.
  • Blockchain reduced cyber risks ensuring trusted transactional activity.
  • The future of finance seems to be dominated by Bitcoin.
  • Blockchain could also be implemented in elections and social welfare.
With the advent of technology, many new innovations have replaced stereotyped things. Let us see how far Blockchain goes...

Why most students choose to be an engineer in India

Pre-university becomes a challenge for most students as they are totally confused about which option  to choose as the career that provides financial stability as well as prestige at the same time.Every year approximately 15 lac engineers get the degree and only 30 % of them manage to get jobs that too in IT sector. The big question is 'Does India need so many engineers'? and 'What are the reasons for choosing mostly engineering as the career option'?
Let us look at some of them -

  • Prestige Point-  In this global era, everybody craves for respect and luxury.Looking at the statistics one can judge engineering degree is successful in providing name and fame to students .An engineer is respected a lot in society, giving an opportunity to work with brand names like Google, Amazon , Microsoft and so on and this is one of the major reason why students go for engineering background.
  • Parents Pressure- It may sound lame but a bitter truth where parents and relatives pressurize the students comparing them to neighbor's kid whose scores better in exams. Sometimes parents fail to recognize the capabilities and land up watching their kids struggle.
  • Rat Race- It is true that the world is a rat race, everything is about competition. Reality lives far behind, Mirage and glamor have overtaken truth.Students themselves do not realize what they actually want and finally end up fighting cut throat competition.
  • Lack of Awareness- According to Human Development Index , India stands on the rank of 130/187 in development , which justifies the lack of awareness prevailing in students. Most students don't recognize what they are interested in and the career choices available. So, finally end up in brainless herd race.
  • Extra option- Many of students think of engineering as a safe option to earn and if they don't succeed in their experimental startups or other career options then last option would be engineering job which will at least be able to fill their bellies and provide them a stable life.
  • The POSITIVE one- The international survey of rankings reveals the number of people who are passionate about their work and would continue to work for the same engineering profile. The results are-
They were asked to rate their love for current engineering profile they are working on-
Love it and work for free- 18%
Hope for improvement- 35%
Like it for now- 25%
Hate it - 10%
Did not answer- 12%

If you have any special reason to choose to be an engineer ,please share :)

Combating Cyber Crimes

The world is digitizing at a fast pace! From the time we used to go to banks and perform manual transactions to the time now where we sit at our home and just a click on computer will prove to be a boon. Is this really a boon? Let’s look at the other side of the coin. As rightly said "The excess of anything is bad" where technology has pacified our pain at the same time it has brought crimes to a bigger level. Cyber crimes have overtaken traditional crimes these days. According to National Crime Agency's Cyber crime assessment 2016, which was released on 7th July 2016 says that Information technology fraud is recorded to be 36% where as misuse of computer accounts for 17%. Specifically in India, From 2015 the rate of cyber crimes is expected to be doubled, main cause being increased use of smart devices for financial transactions. It is not that only financial institutions are in the hands of cyber criminals, retail business are even bigger victims. Cyber criminals have become more trailblazing and continue to design improved methods for infecting networks. They are also working on how social engineering techniques can help. According to Trust wave’s Global annual Security report 45% of is contributed through data loss and violation.

Additionally, SIEM( Security Information and event management) is widely used technology, it combines SIM( security information management) and SEM ( security event management). The SIM collects the data in a central repository to analyze the pattern and provides reports automatically. SEM deals with real time analysis, correlation of events and views. Most SIEM system works in specific hierarchy to gather security related events and views. But there is one danger using this technology, relevant content can be filtered out quickly. The main objective is to guard system configuration changes, manage log auditing and review response.
Another successful approach is integration. Loss Protection technologies are a growing trend in retail market .Integration of security systems has been an intelligent choice as it permits multiple systems to be managed on single interface, This aims at reducing manpower and loss protection becomes efficient by assimilation of multiple interfaces to single one. Its benefit is that maintenance becomes easier. Market continues to fight problems like shop lifting, social engineering, commercial burglary, ORC (organized retail crime), return and refund frauds etc. There are detection systems which include alarms, thus minimizing theft and loss. One major drawback of these systems is non crime alarms. Too many alarms lead to false information which may turn authorities to behave in unresponsive way.

New security systems like using RFID (radio frequency identification) and GPS brought new hopes as they allow tracking the shipment and verifying if they are illicit or illegal. These technologies are mainly intended for preventing supply chain and cargo theft. To fight against refund fraud, POS systems are used. They have debit or credit card reader. When this function is not performed by system then retailer does it manually. Many retailers now a day’s use smart fixtures, locking cases, cables and cords etc. In recent years many improvements are being done in field of video surveillance. And a new technology video analytic is being developed. It tracks legitimate and illegitimate customer behaviors.

In the retail sector where data is growing, known as big data. Big data is nothing but consists of 3Vs i.e. Volume, Velocity and Variety of data. Big retail organizations need secure systems to protect information from intrusion. This type of security cannot be handled by traditional methods; result was year 2014 or “The year of Security breach,” made experts to build hopes for bigger and better tools like Hadoop. This technology offers efficient Map Reduce based analytic jobs to visualize and transform dynamically structured data. Where Hadoop is able to handle Big data with efficiency there are several vulnerabilities that needs to be handled with care. The CDH4 enable hadoop to prevent malicious content. There are task allotted to master node, name node, job tracker and task tracker. Which performs the task in group so as to ensure data security.HDFS and Map Reduce enable control over user access to data like several vulnerabilities one of them has word readable files which allows local users to obtain passwords, another allows users to obtain the configurations. when the data encryption is enabled , it allows user to obtain sensitive information by reading the file. There are several areas in which Hadoop needs to be designed according to the business requirements. Big data experts and researchers are working on improvement in integrating with identity management and security systems

See through Technology

The day is not far away when we will be holding mobile phones that are light weight as well as transparent. Yes!!! The researchers at Oregon State University and Hewlett Packard have discovered entirely new class of materials provided by mother nature that can conduct electrically and are optically transparent, also are inexpensive and stable. The reason behind transparency is that the elements or compound absorbs all the colors in a given spectrum and does not reflect any.
Transparent Electronics is a science which is focused on producing invisible electronic circuitry. The motive to create a technology which is electrically conductive as well as optically transparent.Even, the imagination sounds exotic to ears. The materials are especially well suited for use in computer and video displays, photo-voltaic cells, and digital cameras . Private industry is working to identify applications for transparent semiconductors, and to develop prototypes of devices that can be useful in the real world.

Transparent conductors are neither 100% optically transparent nor metabolically conductive. From the band structure point of view, the combination of the two properties in the same material is contradictory: transparent material is an insulator which possesses completely filled valence and empty conduction bands; whereas metallic conductivity appears when the Fermi level lies within a band with a large density of states to provide high carrier concentration.

This appealing class of see through devices is still in  its research phase and could be used in creating highly portable e-paper computer display that could take the place of a monitor, transparent solar panel that could be attached directly to windows or skylights, flexible plastic display that can be applied to a vehicle windshield like a decal, allowing vital parameters such as speed, fuel level etc and obviously mobile phones, laptops etc.

Devil - that didn't let you sleep last night

Mob of thousand people shouting at you , accusing you and you are helpless.. may be you are a political leader, social worker, murderer or just a common man.You are scared. You explaining things to them And BAMM!!!!! suddenly you open your eyes... its just a dream...
Are dreams the one which didn't let us sleep? Lets go behind the scene and find out. Its the combination of what our 540mega pixel (approx) eyes and the psychopath ,lunatic ,bizarrely constructed mind creates. These are called THOUGHTS. The brain never sleeps, it continues creating thoughts. Even if you are asleep, these thoughts are seen in form of dreams. Thoughts can drive you to work, they are powerful. Suppose if you are holding a glass of water for 2 mins, you won't feel much. If you hold it for 1 hour certainly you are going to feel stress and pain. If you continue to hold it for 24 hours, definitely it is going to cause severe strain or muscle pull. Same is with thoughts if you let them go it will be fine and if you hold them for longer ,they are going to hurt you. Constructive thoughts can make your life heaven. They can prove to be great motivation, if you take them positively.
This world is nothing but a thought.

Atma gyan- Towards Eternal knowledge

Falling into a traumatic situation made me realize how strong am I and what are my capabilities to handle such tricky scenarios.Realization... knowing  or simply consciousness. The art of realizing can be a bit tough when the mistake is all yours. Realization is not only meant for mistakes but for things in life which brought you bliss to live in. It is actually fulfillment of oneself.
Self realization, another big term which signifies knowledge of oneself or ones personality. Realization can be as small as choosing between two options depending on your likes and dislikes or can be as big as deciding career or choosing path of difference from regular approach.
According to Advait Vedanta, God is "Sat-chit-Anand" which means "truth-consciousness-bliss". So that means ones you realize the truth , bliss is sure. Life begins with awareness . Even smallest life possible on earth will have some amount of awareness. Thus we as human beings should celebrate moments of awareness. We crazy sapiens never realize the value of realization... how beautiful life is... how thankful we should be... we are the most aware species present on Earth. Also ,we never realize what are our actual capabilities. Thoughtfulness can prove to be a good way of realizing things. The best thing to do after we realize is to analyze the situation and use the opportunity to the fullest.

Goodbye Eva

"Whatever comes may not stay forever"

Mighty winds brewing... the noon darkness , the petrichore was promised with heavy rain. Never knew , that this setting sun would bring a ray of new hope.
Mum and me were busy chatting about the amazing weather. Suddenly, came the helpless beauty flying swiftly, dangled to my mom's Kurta. Looking into her eyes as if saying I can't take this any more. We took her to our place. The green birdie was scared , her wings were damaged and legs half broken.
We served her water and grains but she was not in condition to eat. Luckily we had a kiddo parrot named Moto. He was just 6 months old. So, now both of them started living together. The new birdie was named Eva. For the very first time in my life I could see how emotional birds are. When Eva was in pain and could not eat , Moto would take bits of food in his beak and serve Eva. They became friends. Doctor advised medicines which were given to Eva by my mom. Soon we started playing with them and 25 days of care made Eva perfectly fine.
Now she was a family member to me. Moto and Eva were never caged. So, the time to depart came . One fine morning , my mom said me to drop Eva to jungle so that she can live happily. We went to nearby place which was full of greenery n sort of jungle. She was in my hands, soft... beautiful... I was emotional. As soon as I flew her, she sat on the small branch of a nearby tree and started speaking in her language , looking at me. As if saying, thanks and good bye. I could see the shine in her eyes and sense her happiness. I waved at her , saying... Goodbye Eva...

The spooky one

As soon as the word spooky comes to mind, people get goosebumps . They think of the world of witches, ghost, spirits and especially black magic.
Necromancy is probably the most common culture, we regularly see in movies ... people can call souls from other world. Hinduism - a religion which believes in after life, gives us the freedom to believe in the good and bad, angel and evil etc.
The belief depends on your mind, if you are an atheist you will not believe in evil soul may be because you don't believe in almighty. Or you believe that if almighty is within you then surely the evil one is also within you.
Truly, Are we scared of ourselves?  Is this ghost within us? Or Is this almighty within us? I would like to ask that if the body is compared to a computer and the brain to CPU, then in case of computer ,user gives the command... who is the one giving command to us.. the brain? The almighty? The soul? Or the unknown energy?
In Hindi, ghost is "bhoot" but "bhoot" is also past. Is it the past that haunts you ?
The memories of past proves to be nightmares sometimes. But what is the end result of all these memories to be kept in mind so safe. The ones which are beautiful gives you happiness but the ones which haunts you can not forget them ..but  if you can forgive the mistakes made , you get relieved. This will surely revive you from the burden you had all this time.

Waters of infinity

While sitting on beach, you hold my hand tightly... the beautiful sunset and the murmuring of cold breeze. The perfect romance , that can be imagined. The water of infinity where the sun sets.
" kshitij.. jaha milte hain ambar dhara"

The way you look at me , when I am watching the beautiful water cascades... the burble of flowing water... the crashing of waves against my feet and the numbness of expressions we had... reminds me of the water of infinity.

The smile of yours... my stupid dance moves.. the small water droplets ..the bike ride with the whistling of insects..  the darkness of night.... the soothing petrichor and my boundless happiness.
Everything reminds me of the water of infinity.

The water of infinity... across streams... through mountains... from clouds... to my soul.

Change - part of life

Breaking up of monotony is change. Change is law of nature..the different patterns of leaves.. the unexpected weather changes... the unique facial features are just some examples. Who doesn't want change when it comes to mundane work life I.e. weekend after 5 days of hectic schedule or a small leisure trip with friends. Change is challenge. If you want to grow , accept it. Change is beauty, appreciate it.Why are we scared of changes ? If it transfer from preferred location in job or loss of precious belongings. Embrace change! May be it is a new opportunity to improve ones thoughts or entire life. Change is the need of the hour, it leads you to think in different directions.  Just think how life would be ,if we all had same schedules or same situations to work on...
Remember...
Change brings the best out of you...

Being a manager

By core definition, manager is person who is able to manage situations effectively, people skillfully and resources efficiently. Being a manager is not at all an easy task, a great responsibility to fulfill. Actually we all are managers...because even we try hard to handle situations in best way possible.
One must realize and appreciate , how beautifully they have been able to manage situations. It may be right way for some one but wrong for some others since different people have thoughts that differ . Uniqueness is adorable.
When thought of best managers come, probably mothers are the best example for this. She knows , if guests come without any intimation how to accommodate five people in food of three.  She perfectly knows how to motivate her kids when they get low grades. She tries her level best as a wife to support her husband and provide the best relaxation she can, even when she is done with hectic day at office.
Finally,  whenever we got fever she was there in night for food , medicine and every soothing thing we needed.
The best , closest  and obviously successful managers around - Mothers.

Intro to the life of Crazy Sapiens

Crazy Sapiens...

Crazy Sapiens is not about any specific person , but a thought of extreme behavior. life is  a mirage, but this hope may take you to the real oasis.. Only if you have guts to believe in yourself.
This  is neither a suggestion nor an advice , just a discussion "On being YOURSELF " and "Finding the unique YOU" .
Your thoughts make things and situations "Right or Wrong". It is you who decides, who has chosen to be what you are today.
You may feel lost but truly your belief is boundless, it can take you to infinity.

It is all about ... Your Thought! Your Belief ! Your Rules!

5 Life Hacks from Crazy Sapiens mind-

1. Stuck in tricky behavior..??
Entirely up to you.... "Understand or Accept".

2. Caught in unexpected options..??
Again it's you.... "Choose or Ignore".

3.Confused in Choosing..??
Be extreme... " 1 or 0".

4. Think what is going to help...
  "Cribbing or Trying different approaches".

5. Last but obviously not the least...
You can't make everyone understand, who you actually are...
Choose.." Your Happiness or Explanation to all others".
