Being a crazy shopper, I explored and found Pune at its best.The city has got lot many shopping destinations and food joints to hang out. Specially people novice here, this blog is surely gonna help you finding interesting experiences of street shopping.
The true essence of Pune "The Deccan Queen" is incomplete without shopping at the following terminals-
1. Fascinating F C Road- The Road is on name of famous Fergusson College.Here you will find varieties of dresses, tops, handbags, kurtas, books, magazines and fashion accessories, where you can shop strictly according to your budget.
This market is popular among youngsters and is the prime location for commercial establishments like shops, showrooms, hotels, restaurants, offices. Chains like Barista, Cafe Coffee Day and Starbucks have their outlets here, which witness great rush.
2. Fecund Fashion Street- The variety of clothes you find here are captivating enough to make you buy at-least few. Fashion Street in Pune fulfills to your every need, from clothes to footwear. This place has a lot to offer to those who believe in mix and match.A bunch of four hundred and fifty (450) stalls make up this market.
3. Harmonizing Hong Kong Lane - It is located in Deccan .The place is full of little shops that sell imported from the South Asian countries which lies on border of India. You can find junk jewelry, for both men and women. Beaded bracelets, lockets, interesting watches with leather straps, huge dials, and sports watches are some of the stuff available here. Also caps, belts and apparel accessories from Nike, Reebok and Diesel can also be bought from here. Book stores, mobile stores, cosmetics shops, CD shops and painting stores too are all over the market.
4. Lavish Laxmi Road - The traditional market of pune is Laxmi road. It is said that a visit to Pune is incomplete if you have not visited Laxmi Road once. This place too is a very busy and noisy place. But here, tourists can get household items; jewelery, Maharashtrians traditional wares, pearl nose ring, necklace and the nine-yard sarees from this busy market. The market road is approximately 4 km long. It starts from the Alka Talkies Square . Laxmi Road is not opened on Mondays .From beautiful salwar-kameez to sarees; from jeans and t-shirts to skirts and blouses, get them all on this road.
5. Jazzy Juna Bazaar- Also known as Old Market, This is a place for accessories it may be jewels or home...like neck pieces, danglers ,show pieces and even door hinges :P Even many of Punekars are unaware of this street many green horn coin collectors are familiar with this street.If you are into collecting old coins, this might just be the right place for you to go shopping and enhance that collection. This place stocks stuff that people might consider junk but to those who know the value , it can be a priceless.
