5 Unexplored Places of Hampi (India)

Ruins
Ruins of Hampi

One of the International Heritage of the World, Hampi is the locus of awe-inspiring ruins, astonishing temples, and convivial hippie culture situated in the Southern Part of India. According to the list of  New York Times of 2019 Must-See places, Hampi secured the second position, which makes it a total crowd puller.  Though India is a country full of architecture, history, and natural beauty,  Hampi occupies its own sacred and unparalleled sphere in the heart of travelers. For the ultra-rich travelers to pilgrimage families and backpackers, this place has got a lot of options for each and every one.

The name Hampi is derived from the word "Pampa"  which was the old name to River Tungabhadra. Hampi is also known as Pampa Village or Kishkindha Kshetra (As mentioned in the Ramayana- The Hindu Epic). So, Hampi is the English adaptation of Kannada name "Hampe". January- February is the ideal time to visit Hampi. Natural Beauty still finds its charm in this small village.

*Bonus Tip: End of the blog

If you are visiting Hampi for the first time, Here's a list of 5 must-visit unexplored places:

1. Tunnel Cave: Very few travel guides or blogs will talk about the tunnel cave which leads to the Tungabhadra river from the Monolithic Bull. This cave is for people who love to explore the unexplored.  It is a way full of rocks and adventure. The best thing here is to enjoy the sunset and the view of coracle rides together.

2.  Hampi Painting Gallery: Everyone talks about the museum but nobody has explored the art gallery which resides in the center of the main street of old Hampi Bazaar between the Virupaksha Temple and Monolithic Bull. This art gallery shows the development and the difference of maintenance of the Historical Ruins from the time of 1509 to present 2019. The Photographs that show the progress and evolution of the ruins were taken by Italian, French and Indian photographers at different times.

3. The basement of Queen's Palace: History tells us about the luxurious lives of  Queens but it is a matter of fascination- Is it possible that the paintings and the paints used in the first century are still surviving. We found the remains of the organic paints as well as the meditative Zen chakra on the basement of Queen's palace, which may refer that either the Kings or Queens believed in the zen philosophies. Sri Lankan dragon patterns are also seen on the same.

4. Ugra Narasimha: It may make you wonder that Rudra/Ugra Narasimha temple is just a tourist attraction but the story behind the name of this temple is surely worth your attention. So, this temple is named as Ugra Narasimha where Ugra means full of anger which simply can be seen on the face of the deity, but to your surprise, after the temple was named,  the archaeologist discovered that the deity of Narasimha (lord) has hands of  Lord Vishnu on his back which signifies blessings. Thus, the expressions suggest a happy and jovial nature of the Lord Narasimha. Now known as Laxmi Narasimha.

5. The Indian Stonehenge:  In the far rocks and ruins of  Hampi behind the  Elephant's Stables and beyond the deserted ground lies the Indian Stonehenge which proves to be worthy of a visit. It is believed that this would be a monitoring place for the soldiers who protected Hampi under the rule of King Krishna Deva Rai.

**Bonus: If you are a Bird Watcher or Bird Lover, then there is a great probability for you to see an Indian Roller/ Indian Blue Jay which is considered to be a stroke of good luck as per Hindu Scripture of Ramayana.

Other good places to visit include Virupaksha Temple, Monolithic Bull, Badav Linga, Elephant Stable, Museum, Hazar Ram Temple, Vijaya Vitthala Temple, Coracle Rides in Tungabhadra River and so on.

Blunt Tip:
1. Hampi Bazaar is just a lane full of Indian Handicrafts where you can spend 15-20 mins shopping. There is no such big market.
2. It is advisable to not to roam on the streets of Hampi after sunset as there are no street lights on the roads and most tourist attraction closes by sunset but it is a safe place for tourist.

7 Unknown Real aspects about UNAbomber’s Life

Unabomber or “The Surprise Package Bomber” has been one of the most gruesome killers in the history of mankind irrespective of the fact that neighbors called him “Hermit on the Hill”. Though the records show killing up of 3 people and severe injuries 23 people, Unabomber has managed to scare to the multitude with his package bombs. Also, the case is one of the most expensive cases for FBI.  Here are 7 facts about Unabomber:
1.    The reason behind Unabomber’ Name: The name was given by FBI as they do not know his identity and based on the investigation, he killed people related to university & Airlines. Thus,  UNABOM (UNiversity and Airline BOMber).
2.    Ted was never on a killing spree for pleasure: Unabomber or Ted Kaczynski (Actual name) was a very emotional man and was scared of the consequences of Industrial revolution and modernization. In his Manifesto, every single line explains about his fearful thoughts about the harmful consequences of industrialization. That is the reason he lived in Jungle, denying all the luxuries in spite of being a Mathematician and Harvard alumni.
3.    Emotional Breakdown was the main cause of his actions:  An intelligent man turns to an obstreperous mind is a difficult concept to understand. Though it is true that Ted was a loner but the experiment of Harvard which was based on “psychic deconstruction by humiliating undergraduates” and thereby causing them to experience severe stress was the main cause of ted’s destructive mind. He was humiliated badly for almost two years as per experiment’s tenure.
4.    The reason behind Ted being a loner:  Ted was shy, introvert and perceptive as a kid. Every time he tried being friends or started bonding with someone, they broke his trust or leave him. E.g. Friend from school (beat him and left him, as Ted saw him kissing a girl batchmate), Girlfriend (left without reason), Brother (fired him from job and did not join him to Jungle to reside in the wood house) & Mother (She accepted the experiment’s permission to humiliate him and signed on the two years agreement).
5.    The reason why Ted pleaded guilty: Actually, Ted AKA Theodore never wanted to plead guilty though he never regretted killing because sending bombs was symbolic to people who are technologists themselves or who are related to technological developments.  As Ted attempted suicide before one of the trails, his attorney wanted to prove that he was mentally unstable which would indirectly present the inference that all his writings and thoughts are the result of his hedonism, which wasn’t true.  He also advocated, “It is better to die in jail with accepting the truth rather than living in the mental asylum which will ruin all his works and thoughts”.    Thus, finally, he pleaded guilty.
6.    Unlike everyone Unabomber expected care & attention: There are several instances in Ted’s life where he craves for love and care from people.  Ted was a highly intelligent student who skipped classes in school which made him youngest in his class and also resulted in him being all alone. The experiment at Harvard denied the power of autonomy that ted believed in firmly and convincing him to be a coward and anti-social which majorly broke down his attitude towards society.  Ted cared about people; he used to teach kids mathematics which earned him bread. He wanted his 35000 words manifesto to be recognized and read by people to make them aware about the harmful effects of Industrialization.
7.    History of Special Signature Bombs: The Bombs delivered as a package to victims were entirely handmade. They were made out of waste materials. They had special initials on them labeled as “FC” which denoted Freedom Club.  The sending up of bombs started in childhood when he sent a bomb to his best friend as he left him alone for a girl’s love.

Top 5 jaw dropping possibilities of Human body changes in next 1000 years

Human evolution is a process of continued changes from the origin such as apelike ancestors. For example, evolution includes using up of two limbs to walk rather than four which was used by our primates. Many types of research have been done on human evolution and are still going on to figure out the mysteries of future.  Human is curious to know future and here are some anticipations from scientists which will awestruck people-

1.      Teeth- Many of the researchers have claimed that food habits have changed drastically if compared to primates, which has totally changed the shape and size of teeth and if we continue with such extra sugary supplements in our diet. Then we will develop a beak instead of teeth. The teeth would merge as one to form a hard bird-like beak.

2.      Hands- As we excessively use touch screen technology, scientists have claimed that the nerve endings will grow at a larger pace, making fingers longer. The size of the fingers may increase up to 7.4 inches being more elongated and flexible.

3.      Brain- Scientists have found the evidence of brain shrinking with the help of several comparative tests conducted on human and apes. Many of scientists believe that as our life is becoming easier we tend to use less brain. The comparison is seen in terms of wildlife creatures possess’ bigger brain compared to tamed animals.

4.      Skin- This evolution will be considered to be the most bizarre as humans could develop a skin that can change colours according to the environment. Due to sudden weather change conditions, humans are likely to develop a manipulating specialised cell pigment known as “chromophores” which is found in some reptilians and amphibians. This cell pigment helps in changing of skin colour.

5.      Immune systems- Some research theories suggest that humans are now acquainted with the easy going lifestyle which prevents them from hard labour and exposure to certain germs making their immune systems weak. This is known as the Hygiene hypothesis.

There are some other theories which say that humans will be born without gall bladder, spleen and appendix as they do not have any use in our body. People may turn to mono-ethnicity, which would help in abolishing racial discrimination.
Let’s see how far evolution takes us or how strange it makes us.
